I think it's easy to pick a work highlight or a campaign but honestly it's the amazing, down to earth and helpful people I've had the privilege to work with along my freelance journey. As much as we're all here to deliver a job, we must remember the human aspect of our careers.
I started off working in marketing and in the creative industry. Being a key component in campaigns for some of the biggest global brands including; The Football Association, Google, PlayStation, Netflix, Sky, The NBA and many more. In 2022 I took the plunge and went freelance to focus on Project Management and Account Management as I was desperate to experience something new (and boy was it new!). As a freelancer you have to adapt to a multitude of things; new ways of working, a new team, various clients etc. It also requires a different type of work ethic that only a finite number of people have and can work towards. In the past 16 months or so, I've led the accounts for PMI, Ford and Coca-Cola with the jobs ranging from post-production, web development, IT and print production. While each job's output varied, one consistent feature remained: the need to be proactive and that's something I pride myself on and why I'd like to think I've been a success in each of my freelance roles.
